Structure fire at I-30 and FM 551 in Fate fully contained – Blue Ribbon News

FATE, TX (August 30, 2022) – A structural fire broke out in the Prose Apartment Complex at 5:37 a.m. As a result, one building structure was lost. However, firefighters quickly responded to the incident. The building was unoccupied and the fire did not cause any injuries. Evacuations took place in the Williamsburg area to the immediate west and south of the site during the incident. All commercial buildings nearby and under construction, including FRESH by Brookshire’s, were unaffected.

A huge multi-agency response was essential to ensure the fire was contained and did not spread to other structures. Agencies responding to the incident included: Fate, Rockwall, Royse City, Greenville, Heath, McLendon-Chisholm, Rowlett, Wylie and Cash. The hydraulic infrastructures, including the City’s water tower, are still operating normally. The cause of the fire is still being determined.
