Singapore unveils School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) has officially launched the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) – a new academic unit that aims to become the pioneering model of excellence in teaching and interdisciplinary research.

Established jointly by the Colleges of Engineering and Science, the Interdisciplinary School is a unique academic unit to be established between two colleges within NTU and aims to be a model of interdisciplinary learning for other schools and institutions NTU academics. In the region.

Together with the existing enrolled students of the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry and those of the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE), the total student body of the new school is over 2,000.

Created as part of the NTU 2025 strategic plan to better equip students for the interdisciplinary challenges of tomorrow, the CCEB School will serve as a platform to foster stronger interdisciplinary synergies between academic units in the fields of education, research and innovation, while ensuring depth and rigor in the coverage of topics within disciplines.
